How to search for people online…
I wouldn’t just recommend a search, in fact I would advise that the results be saved!
You can build on what you found. The address lookup, people search, phone search, all searches take some work, but some tips can make your search experience easier. If you are looking for people, use any search engine of people, try http://people-search-info.org, one of the free ones, they are great. They will give a list of people who can filter by state and city, if you already have that information.
However, you can still get a long list of a name lookup, if you are looking for a common name. Two things are useful for cutting through that list. Initials of the second and the detail of age. Search people use search engines that let you add the age and use of the initials of middle name, if known.
All search engines provide free public records search for people, at least initially. Never pay for information until you have used the free search to narrow your search. If you are smart about it, if you know how people look, you will not have to pay anything at all. If you have to pay on time, you will only pay for what is quite certain that what you get is what you want.
That’s how we tracked down a girl I met in high school. I do not know if he was married or if she had married. I knew the month and year of your birth date, but was not sure of the day. I used our search engine at http://people-search-info.org and found what I needed. I was lucky that his name was fairly common, but the strategy of working independently.
To find my long lost friend, I wrote his name into a search for marriage license and has two entrances, one for the groom and one for a girlfriend. Obviously, the bride’s what I was looking for, so I could discount the groom. No information is given however, than the name, which had entered, so if I wanted to find her married name at this point, it would have to pay to get the marriage license information.
Once you have the information of marriage, of course, also has the bride and groom’s names or maiden names, and you reduce the size of new lists using filters.
Indeed, the information I received fit the person he was seeking. I used the same search engine I used for marriage information to try to locate my friend. Her married name was common, so a search presented a long list. But here is where the middle initial is useful. I used his middle name I had known in high school, but get nowhere. Then I remembered that in those days it was common for girls to use her maiden name as his middle name again, along with the surname of her husband. This reduced the list a bit, without removing the entire world. Now is when the old filter comes in handy.
The search engine used allows both the date of birth and old boxes, so it only uses first age box. This reduced my list to just a few. Then came what he remembered from his date of birth. I was sure this month, but not the day, so I just assumed in the second. Then I realized that the search engine was that it gives me information telling me that the birth date was wrong and even told me specifically that the day was wrong.
Of course, for telling me what was wrong, I also said what was right, month and year. One of the names on the list of the names fit both spouses, the correct month and the right age. I was pretty sure this was what I wanted, but I wanted to see if I could use the search engine to get the exact date of birth. I thought I was the tenth day of the month, but that’s what I was using and told me I was wrong.
So I started with 1, then 2 and so on until I got to 9, and bingo, the message tells me the day of the birth date was wrong. Now I knew I had the full date of birth. The information me from the city and state and listed the names of possible relatives. Relative names can also be very helpful in reducing their search for free if they are significant to you, but right now, for this particular search, which was not necessary.
Now all you have to pay here, which was not provided free, was the address and phone numbers. But at least at this point, you’re pretty sure you have what you want and if that information is necessary, it would have cost only five dollars, probably less now that prices have become more reasonable. It seems to be about two dollars at the time of writing this article. I had to pay up private investigator hundred fifty dollars for what he had achieved so far by only twelve dollars, or perhaps total of seventeen, if I wanted the phone numbers and addresses.
But with a little more searching through Google you can often get even the free information. Using the information you now have in their investigation of the free search, married names, maiden name, birth date, the city and the state of management and family as possible, any such information to Google in this format, name, city, state, zip code, and can only get exactly what you want to end the address and phone numbers. Not always, but often. Experiment, try it.
You can also try a reverse phone search or yahoo and hotmail if you have that information, but nothing more.
Be sure to save your search results somewhere. I do not know how many times I’ve spent several hours tracking something, I remember thinking how I got there because I was fresh in my mind and I could pick up where I left the next day or the next time when I was. Sure. Of course, I do not Rememer none of it and had to start all over again. Take notes, jot down the names and things, suggest ways it took.
When you finally nail down the names and IP addresses and phone numbers and other peripheral information, including more complete notes on how you found what you found, put it all in one program with a personal information database designed for this end. Your data will be secure, easily retrievable, organized and classified, and most importantly, available, without searching all over again.
Good luck with your search… and happy searching!
